This cheerful quilt is made using your embroidery machine! The petals on the large sunflowers are three-dimensional, almost good enough to pick and place in a vase! You can make either the large quilt or the small wall hanging. Level: Strong Beginner
Machine applique this beautiful, tropical- themed quilt using batiks or any bright fabric of your choice! Barbara will also teach you how to embellish the quilt's border with beading.
In this class the goal is to design a small fused project. We will work from Lenore Crawford's pattern "Yelllow Cone Flower". It will be traced onto freezer paper, then transferred to a background fabric
on which the design will be fused, making it work like a "paint by numbers picture without the numbers". This makes it a breeze to complete. Maria will also demonstrate how to add fabric painting to your design to add detail and depth. You can paint your own work if you choose. We are very excited about supporting the charity ConnKerr Cancer
(www.conkerrcancer.org). We will spend the day creating pillowcases to be
donated to this worthy cause. These pillowcases will be donated to sick children
in local hospitals. What a great reason to clean out your stash! Drop by and
make a pillowcase (or two or three, etc.) Sewing machines and sergers will be
set up so all you have to do is sit and stitch. Why not just join us for the fun
and give a kid a smile? Level: All Levels
