ear Friends,
By time you read this newsletter,
Lorraine's house will be packed up
(including her sewing room, a minor
feat in itself) and she will be
getting ready to begin her adventure
in Shanghai. Lorraine will be
halfway around the world but she
wants you to know that she will
still be involved with the store and
that The Happy Quilter will still be
here! Bethany has set up
The Happy Quilter Blog so that
Lorraine will be able to
write about life in Shanghai.
Lorraine's also planning to "visit" us through our webcam.
We are very excited about a number
of events happening in the store
this Fall. First, we have a
fantastic class schedule set up!
We're offering classes ranging from
applique to piecing and everything
in between. Do you need inspiration
for gifts? We're offering 3 one-day
"quick" gift classes to get you
started on the holiday season.
Bernina Club and Strip Club are
back, too!
Second, we're holding several free
fun events! Come into the store on
"Cupcake Day" and make a
non-fattening cupcake pincushion.
Aprons are making a comeback, but
these are not the aprons your mother
and grandmothers wore. We're
celebrating aprons on "Apron Day".
Bring your fabric and we'll show you
how to make a fabulous apron!
Third, have you seen the new Bernina
830? This is the ultimate
sewing/embroidery machine on the
market and you will be amazed at all
of its fantastic features! Click on
www.berninausa.com and follow
the links to view the 830 in all its
glory! Selena is going to
Switzerland this month to visit the
Bernina Factory and see the 830.
We've begged to hitch a ride in her
suitcase but we'll have to settle
for her stories and pictures (and
maybe some chocolate, hint, hint)
when she returns. We expect the new
Bernina 830 to arrive in the store
in November. Happy Quilting!
